EDITORIAL: Make a difference by sharing views on local budgets

You don’t have to wait until Election Day to make a significant difference in your community — in your taxes, in how well your roads get repaired and plowed, in how much you spend on water and sewer services, in recreation and emergency services, and in everything else your local government provides.

Not that voting doesn’t make a difference. But where the decisions are being made right now for next year is in the budget hearings and workshops being held in your local county, town or city.
