HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - More than 150 golfers took part in the 3rd annual Philippine Airlines USA Cup at the Waikele Country Club on Saturday.

Also known as the Bong Tan Memorial Golf Tournament, in honor of the company’s late president, the charity event allows the carrier to connect with the communities it serves. Tan’s son Kyle was among the Philippine Airlines executives who flew in for the event, which was held for the first time in Hawaii, after San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Proceeds benefitted the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii Foundation , which provides scholarships and leadership programs for underprivileged students.
