SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Temperatures will warm slightly Sunday as a light breeze turns out of the north.
A weak area of low pressure dropping down the existing trough will return a northerly flow to the region. Expect an occasional north breeze on Sunday, with temperatures warming to the low 80s in the valley, the mid-70s in the foothills, and near 60 in the Sierra.
A ridge of high pressure will move overhead, warming the valley into the mid-80s for the first half of next week under plenty of sunshine.
Clouds return Wednesday as the next area of low pressure moves in toward the end of the week. Models differ significantly on the timing and intensity of this system, as well as how much moisture it will transport.
