CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Kalif Raymond took a nasty shot and exited Sunday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals with a neck injury.
But the Detroit Lions don’t think Raymond has a serious injury. Dan Campbell said his status for next week’s trip to Kansas City is uncertain. But the Lions coach said the updates have all been good news in the immediate aftermath.
Raymond got injured when fielding a punt return back deep near the end zone. He appeared to stumble and took a stiff shot to the head area from Bengals running back Samaje Perine.
The wide receiver, All-Pro punt returner was down on the field for a stretch. But Raymond was able to walk off on his own power before heading to the locker room via the medical cart.
“Leaf, I’ll know more -- I can’t tell you what it’s going to be next week,”
