BIG RAPIDS —Ferris State University has rejected a proposal to place a statue of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on its campus.

In a letter dated back to September 19th the Mecosta County Board of Commissioners suggested a memorial statue following Kirk’s death.

Commissioners suggested a bronze statue designed by Ferris’ art department. They said the cost would be split between the county and the university.

Ferris State University declined.
