Traverse City on the list of cheapest gas in Michigan according to AAA

DEARBORN — Michigan drivers are temporarily catching a break on gas price this week.

AAA reported gas prices have dropped 14 cents from last week, bringing the statewide average down to $3.03 a gallon. That’s 35 cents cheaper than last month and 44 cents less than this time last year.

AAA spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said the saving average for drivers is about $12 on a full tank.

Woodland said the lowest prices are in Jackson and Traverse City at $2.89 a gallon.
