LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man has been hospitalized after being shot in the Portland neighborhood.
Metro Police officers responded to the area of North 29th and Slevin streets around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officers found a man they say was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
He was assisted by officers until he could be transported to UofL Hospital for further treatment.
The man’s injury is believed to be non-life threatening, according to LMPD.
The Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating and working to learn what led up to the shooting.
