Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara: Chapter 1' has been having an unstoppable run at the box office ever since it hit theatres on October 2 worldwide. The film earned over Rs 235 crore gross in its opening weekend. Initial trends suggest that the prequel added another Rs 61 crore nett (gross minus taxes) to the total. With this, the film is likely to enter the Rs 300-crore club on its fourth day in theatres.

On its opening day, the Rishab Shetty-directorial recorded a massive Rs 88 crore gross . Even though the film saw a dip on Friday with Rs 65 crore, it saw an incline again with a 25 per cent increase and raked in Rs 82 crore, thereby pushing the total collection towards Rs 235 crore worldwide in three days.
