One of Fort Langley's most popular events of the year will fill village streets with people all after the tart red berry.
Starting in 1995, Fort Langley has been the site of the Cranberry Festival.
The family-friendly festival always takes place on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, leading into the holiday where the cranberry is a central part of the feasting. The festival drew approximately 35,000 people in 2023 and is expected to attract comparable numbers this year.
The festival takes place Saturday, Oct. 11 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. with more than 100 vendors, food trucks, cranberry sales, entertainment, a kids zone, and beer garden.
The day starts with the Fort Langley Lions Club pancake breakfast between 8 and 11 a.m. The menu includes pancakes, 3 sausages, 1 cranberry bratwurst
