BLOOMINGTON ( 25News Now ) - It’s National Fire Prevention Week, and the City of Bloomington is unveiling a new way to teach fire safety.
According to the National Fire Protection Association, cooking fires cause an average of 158,400 house fires per year from 2017 to 2021, or 44% of all house fires. They caused an average of 470 deaths, and 4,150 injuries to the public.
A state-of-the-art mobile training simulator is designed to teach fire safety and emergency preparedness through interactive technology. The vehicle simulates scenarios to teach people of all ages how to respond to emergencies.

The mobile simulator is ADA accessib
