CHICAGO ( 25News Now ) - In what he’s describing as “Trump’s Invasion,” Gov. JB Pritzker said 400 members of the Texas National Guard are preparing for deployment to Illinois, Oregon, and other U.S. locations.
Pritzker said word came from the Illinois National Guard and the governor’s office sent out a news release about 9:20 p.m. Sunday.
Pritzker is calling for Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott to “immediately withdraw” support for the president’s actions. Pritzker, who is a Democrat, said there’s no reason a president should send the military into a sovereign state without their “knowledge, consent, or cooperation.”
