A Sydney cafe has sparked a backlash from customers over the pricing and portion size of several lunch items.

The Lane Cove National Park Cafe, on Sydney's lower north shore came under scrutiny after a customer shared their frustration at the $17.50 price tag for a bacon and egg roll.

Sharing a picture of the menu on Reddit, the customer labelled the cafe the "world record" holder for the priciest supplier of the popular breakfast item.

"Can anyone find a place that beats this (price) for bacon and egg?" they wrote.

Other notable items on the menu include a small portion of chips for $12, a large portion for $20 and a garden salad for $27.

Several commentators recognised the national park establishment, branding the prices "ridiculous" and "insane".
