POWERS — The Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes football team used a 22-point second quarter to create a lead they did not give up in a 52-34 win over the North Central Jets on Friday night in Powers.
The Lakes led 8-6 after one quarter before outscoring the Jets, 22-12, in the second. The Lakes add 14 more points in the third and eight in the final quarter to earn the win.
Brady Axford drove the Lakes’ offense, going 7-of-12 for 113 yards with two touchdowns and one 2-point conversion. He also ran the ball 24 times for 153 yards and three touchdowns. He also scored two 2-point conversions.
Josh Daavettila went 1-for-1 through the air for 20 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball 15 times for 108 yards, a touchdown and two 2-point conversions.
Lukas Axford had four catches for 65 yards and
