Warming back up this weekend

A cold front will move into the area today, bringing our first widespread rain in nearly two weeks.

While a rumble of thunder may be heard, severe weather is not expected.

Highs will reach near 80º before scattered showers and storms develop this afternoon and transition to steadier rain overnight.

Rain will wrap up prior to sunrise Tuesday, and skies will gradually clear through the day.

Unlike our recent sunny stretch, northwest winds behind the front will keep highs in the 60s and low 70s.

Overnight lows will dip into the mid and low 40s most mornings for the rest of the week.

Fall-like temps will stick around until the weekend, when highs climb back into the 80s.

TODAY: Afternoon showers. High
