CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A cold front bringing rain and thunderstorms will impact driving, making Tuesday a First Alert Weather Day, according to the FOX19 NOW Weather Team.

Heavy downpours with 1 to 2 inches of rain are possible.

Rain will begin falling late Monday and become more widespread and continue for the early part of Tuesday’s morning commute.

It will continue Tuesday into the night, according to the weather team.

Watch for high water on roads and highways.

Sweater weather

Cooler temperatures, also known as sweater weather, will finally arrive.

After highs in the low 80s Monday, temperatures will settle in the mid-70s Tuesday.

By daybreak Wednesday, the low will dip into the low 50s.

It’s time to pull out the jackets and sweaters as you head out to work or school.
