Crown Perth has committed to its biggest investment in a decade, launching a long-awaited development program that will add a dozen new bars and eateries to the State’s biggest entertainment complex.

The rolling, multi million-dollar upgrade by its US owners is kicking off with what Crown is pitching as an upmarket food hall at the Burswood property over a 2000sqm site facing Bolton Avenue and adjacent to the Merrywell pub.

The new Urban Food District - construction is already underway - is aimed at offering more choice to visitors who want better and more quick-service family dining before or after a show or events at Optus Stadium.

It will comprise dozen food outlets and bars, including a beer garden, and is expected to open by the end of March next year.
