Mild and cloudy start with changes expected later this week

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) -- Good Monday morning! We’re kicking off the day under a blanket of clouds, with mild temperatures hovering right around 70°F. You might run into a few light sprinkles during the morning commute, but nothing too disruptive.

Clouds will stick around for most of the morning, though we should see a few breaks in the overcast skies by later this afternoon and evening. That said, it’ll still stay mostly cloudy, and a few stray showers could be possible—especially heading into early evening.

Tonight stays mild and partly cloudy, with temps dipping into the upper 60s.

Looking ahead, a fall front is on the way and could bring some rain and a few thunderstorms as early as Wednesday afternoon, lingering into Thursday.
