AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - An Akron babysitter who was convicted of burning a one-year-old girl she was watching, will be sentenced in Summit County Court of Common Pleas Monday.
In August, Kimberly Richmond, 53, pleaded no contest to one count of endangering children, a third-degree felony.
“To cause such harm and pain to an innocent child, then fail to get that child medical attention, is despicable,” said Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich. “This child’s life has been altered forever. I hope this conviction can help her and her family continue pushing forward in the healing process.”
The little girl suffered first, second, and third degree burns on her body and face, said Kolkovich.
