TORONTO — When Aaron Judge said the Yankees have “been here before” after falling behind 0-2 to the Blue Jays in the Division Series on Sunday night, he’s speaking from personal experience.

The Yankees have been in a win-or-go-home situation already in October. They’ve been playing in high-stakes, must-win ballgames for the last several weeks if you factor in their push to win the American League East.

That’s all true, and part of the equation here, but it wasn’t what the captain was referring to.

Back in 2017, Judge’s rookie year, the Yankees lost two games in a row in Cleveland to start the Division Series.

They went on to win their next three games, including a decisive Game 5 back in Cleveland, to storm back and finish off the comeback.
