RICO DOWDLE has fired a warning shot at his former team, the Dallas Cowboys.
On October 12, the Cowboys travel to Carolina to face the Panthers.
There they will see a familiar face in running back Dowdle.
Dowdle, 27, was picked up by the Cowboys in 2020 after going undrafted.
But he remained on the books for the next five seasons before becoming the first undrafted free agent to rush for 1,000 yards in a season in team history.
In 2025, Dowdle signed a one-year, $6.25million contract with the Panthers.
And he has warned his old team to "buckle up" as they prepare for their Gameweek 6 journey to Charlotte, North Carolina.
He said: "They've got to buckle up.
"I think they know for sure.
"They didn't keep me there for five years for no reason.''
Dowdle did want to remain in Dallas,
