Novelist, Dame Jilly Cooper, has died at the age of 88 , with the author's work renown around the globe for her books which cover everything from romance to rivalry and grief.

However, she was not always an author, having started her career as a junior reporter for the Middlesex Independent from 1957 to 1959.

This was until she was snapped up by the Sunday Times Magazine to be a regular columnist for the publication from 1969 until 1982.

And during her time as a journalist, Jilly certainly interviewed a number of people - but there was one which appeared to really stick with her.
