One person was killed and several others injured overnight in separate shootings in Tuscaloosa.

The fatal shooting happened at a storage unit facility where a 28-year-old woman was killed in April.

Authorities said the storage units are rented out to people and businesses and are often used during late-night hours for informal gatherings.

Tuscaloosa police were dispatched at 10:50 p.m. Saturday to the facility in the 3400 block of Greensboro Avenue.

Officer arrived to find 27-year-old Keeondray Sterling dead.

Tuscaloosa County Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Jack Kennedy said a short later, 37-year-old Cordell Shepherd contacted police and said he had shot Sterling.

Kennedy said investigators learned the shooting happened during an argument over a woman.
