Storm Amy wreaked havoc across the Stirling area over the weekend, causing power outages, severe flooding and fallen trees. ‌

One lorry even toppled over on the M9 in high winds. ‌

Wind speeds in Stirling reached a peak of 56.4mph on Friday, with even stronger gusts recorded in rural areas. ‌

Stirling Weather, an amateur weather station based in King's Park, reported that Stirling experienced two inches of rainfall between Friday and Saturday, nearly half of September's total rainfall. Friday alone saw 41mm of rain – the highest daily amount so far in 2025.
