SRINAGAR : Fear has gripped Gousia Colony in Bemina, Srinagar, where residents say over a hundred stray dogs have taken over four lanes, posing a grave threat to public safety. Locals say that the stray dog population in the colony has grown unchecked for months. Despite repeated complaints, they said, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has failed to act. “My elderly mother was bitten after being chased by stray dogs. It is shameful that SMC has ignored such a dangerous situation,” a resident said.
