Sunday morning, the Dallas Police Department said officers responded to a shooting around 5:45 a.m. in West Dallas.

According to their preliminary investigation, they found three people dead in the 3800 block of Bernal Dr.

Authorities did not release much information, such as the identities of the victims or what exactly led up to the shooting. Police did not say whether a suspect was in custody or not.

Police had the area blocked off for several hours as crime scene investigators collected evidence.
