HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - A new name has thrown his hat in the ring for Indiana Secretary of State.
According to a Facebook post shared by the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party, Beau Bayh filed candidacy for the role.
According to a website, Bayh is a former Marine Corps infantry Captain, a Harvard graduate and an attorney.
Bayh is following in the footsteps of his father, Evan, a former United States Senator who also won Secretary of State back in 1986.
He released a video to social media confirming his campaign to go against Diego Morales. Morales is running for re-election, but he'll face competition at next year's Republican Party Convention and could potentially be replaced in the campaign.
