OTSEGO COUNTY — Michigan State Police troopers from the Gaylord Post are seeking to return stolen property to its rightful owners following a series of vehicle break-ins reported across Otsego County in July.

Per an Oct. 6 news release, troopers first began receiving multiple larceny-from-vehicle complaints on July 10 in Bagley Township, with similar reports also filed through the Otsego County Sheriff’s Department and Gaylord City Police Department.

Additional complaints were received on July 21, prompting a joint investigation.

Through home surveillance footage, troopers identified a suspect after one victim reported their cellphone stolen and later provided its active location.
