FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Statewide Special Election is set for Tuesday, November 4, and ballots will be mailed out Monday.
One of the items in next month's election is Proposition 50, which would amend the state constitution to adopt new congressional districts for 2026 through 2030.
Supporters say the measure could flip five Republican-held districts.
Gov. Gavin Newsom's proposal follows Texas's move to redraw its maps to secure more Republican seats in Congress.
The last day to register to vote for the November 4 election is October 20.
