NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A man who was hospitalized in a Thursday shooting has died from his injuries.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Jamichael Blair, 26, of Goose Creek. Blair died Thursday afternoon from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Coroner’s Office.

The North Charleston Police Department had last said the victim was hospitalized.

Police responded to the 4800 block of Piedmont Avenue around 12:20 p.m. Thursday where they found the victim, now identified as Blair, suffering from gunshot wounds.

A report states that a woman had contacted police and informed them that Blair had been taking out the trash when he was shot. EMS took Blair to an area hospital where he later died.
