Danville Public Schools hosted its inaugural Hispanic heritage festival Saturday, something organizers want to become a yearly tradition.
National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. The mid-month timeframe observes independence celebrations for Central American countries.
O.T. Bonner’s cafeteria morphed into a dancing and singing center on Saturday morning with dozens of resource tables placed around the perimeter of the room. Food samples were available, and a balloon artist crafted creations for children.
