GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A 58-year-old man faces up to life in prison after he was found guilty of second-degree murder for a deadly stabbing attack.

Greggory Duane Harris will learn his punishment Nov. 12 when he’s sentenced in Kent County Circuit Court.

Jurors spent about a day deliberating before reaching a verdict on Thursday, Oct. 2, following two days of testimony.

This was the second time Harris stood trial this year in connection with the death of 53-year-old Larone Crenshaw. The first trial – back in February – ended in a mistrial after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict.

The altercation between the two men unfolded Oct. 1, 2023, near the Bottle House on South Division Avenue. Harris and Crenshaw started fighting over a bicycle.
