Halifax, NatWest, and Lloyds Bank have all confirmed bank branch closures this week, with 10 total locations shutting their doors.

Halifax will close five branches, while NatWest will shut four and Lloyds will close one location.

According to consumer group Which?, more than 6,000 bank and building society branches have closed since 2015.

Most impacted banking brands have cited changing customer habits as the reason for the closures, with more people than ever opting to bank online.

Which? says 432 closures have been scheduled for 2025, including 105 from NatWest, 101 from Halifax, 95 from Santander, 93 from Lloyds, 24 from Bank of Scotland, eight from TSB and six from Barclays.
