It appears UNC is firing back at a report that said Bill Belichick directed the staff to not post any Patriots-related content .

Not long after that report surfaced , the Tar Heels X account posted Drake Maye highlights from New England’s stunning upset win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night .

It was the first time Maye’s alma mater posted about him since Sept. 14.

Adding fuel to the fire, former UNC coach Mack Brown posted to X to congratulate Maye after the original report made its way to social media.

“So Happy for Drake,” Brown captioned the photo of him with Maye . “Fun to watch him win last night in Buffalo like he did so many times at UNC. Love and Appreciate you my friend! Keep it rolling!”
