Dear Pay Dirt,

My next door neighbors recently welcomed triplets. As you can imagine, their trash cans fill up rather quickly. Recently, the husband approached me to ask if I could do him and his wife a favor. There’s a limit on how many garbage containers our city will allow each household to have (three), and he and his wife are at their max. He was wondering if I could order two more containers for my household, and he would foot the bill and keep them on his property. He would just wheel them in front of our place when it came time for pick up. I said I would take it up with my wife and get back to him. When I ran it by my wife, she said it was a hard no!
