The Boston Red Sox held their end-of-season press conference on Monday. Sam Kennedy, Craig Breslow and Alex Cora all spoke to the media following their loss to the New York Yankees in the Wild Card round.

The trio touched on many subjects, both retrospective and forward-looking. Breslow received several questions about offseason plans and didn’t provide too many insights as to what that would look like. He did, however, identify areas the Red Sox need to improve to make a deep run in October next season.

“We can talk about the different elements of the game and say that we have to examine our defense,” Breslow said. “We led the league in errors, and that’s not good enough. At the same time, I think that our outfield defense was the best in baseball.”
