NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condemned the attack on BJP leaders in flood-hit West Bengal, describing the incident as “outright appalling” and accusing the ruling Trinamool Congress ( TMC ) of “indulging in violence” instead of helping those affected by the disaster. In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “The manner in which our Party colleagues, including a sitting MP and MLA, were attacked in West Bengal for serving the people affected by floods and landslides is outright appalling.
