The Boston Red Sox held their end-of-season press conference on Monday morning.

Among the flurry of topics discussed during the session was starting catcher Carlos Narvaez’s knee injury.

Narvaez played through a damaged meniscus for part of the second half of the season and Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow said on Monday that the 26-year-old would have offseason surgery to address the issue.
