Taylor Swift was quick to shut down a rumor that “ The Life of a Showgirl ” is her final album — a thought spiral that was started amongst fans soon after the announcement of her engagement to Travis Kelce .

Swift was asked during a BBC Radio 2 interview by Scott Mills whether her new record would be her final bow seeing that she will soon be in her married era. Swift responded with a disgusted look on her face.

“What? No…” she begins, clearly stunned by the allegation.

“I just saw some fans going, ‘Well, she’s going to get married and then she’s going to have children and [so this is] going to be the last album,” Mills added.

“That’s a shockingly offensive thing to say,” Swift said. “That’s not why people get married — so they can quit their job.”
