HOUMA, La. — Newly released video aired by Houma TV appears to show that former LSU football player Kyren Lacy’s vehicle was behind, not in front of, the cars involved in a fatal 2024 crash , according to Lacy's attorney. Louisiana State Police, however, said their investigation found Lacy's reckless driving caused the crash.

In a half-hour interview with Houma TV on Friday, his attorney, Matt Ory, argued the footage proves Lacy was not responsible for the wreck that killed Herman Hall and contradicts initial accounts from investigators.

The broadcast also included body camera video of a state trooper appearing to guide a witness on what to write in a report. Ory cited a crash report noting there was no evidence Lacy should have known his actions caused the collision yards ahead of h
