President Donald Trump urged the Federal Communications Commission to look into NBC’s broadcasting license for keeping MSNBC host Al Sharpton on the air.
Trump has frequently targeted major broadcasters for their critical reporting of him and had demanded that the FCC look into their licenses. He targeted Sharpton, host of MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” in one of his latest posts on Truth Social.
He also criticized Sharpton over his involvement in the 1987 case of Tawana Brawley. Brawley, who is African American, falsely accused a group of white men of kidnapping and raping her when she was 15-years-old in 1987. Sharpton became Brawley’s spokesperson at the time.
Trump said this was “one of the worst Low Level Scams in History.”
