Surrey firefighters were busy battling a house fire in Cloverdale Sunday night.
Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 5), Surrey fire crews responded to a residential structure fire in the 17200-block of 60th Avenue, Surrey Fire Service assistant chief Mike McNamara said Monday.
Seven trucks and 22 firefighters responded to the two-alarm blaze, which started with a small fire at the side of the house, but as crews investigated, they realized there was more of an involved fire at the back of the building the quickly spread to the interior, McNamara noted, adding there were as many as three suites in the house that were successfully cleared.
