WASKISH — Big Bog State Recreation Area is set to host a Candlelight Boardwalk Hike from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.

"Luminaries will light the mile-long Big Bog boardwalk, with a stunning night sky filled with stars awaiting you at the north end," a release said. "If you've never explored the boardwalk before, or even if you have, this is a unique way to see it."

The boardwalk is fully accessible and family-friendly. Hot drinks and snacks will complete the event at the Ludlow Pond picnic shelter, the release noted.

Attendees can meet at the Northern Unit.

A valid Minnesota State Park vehicle permit is required and is $7 for a day or $35 for a year.
