DECORAH, Iowa (KCRG) - People lined the streets in Decorah Monday morning to welcome the Crowned Prince of Norway.
Prince Haakon visited Iowa to mark the 200th anniversary of the first organized Norwegian emigration to the United States. His visit will also highlight the cultural and historical ties between the two countries.
Monday morning, the prince met with Norwegian dancers from Decorah and also attended a ceremony and ribbon cutting at the Vesterheim Museum and Folk Art School.
