MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) — The hustle and bustle of New York City often means commuters and residents keep their heads down and move along. But a new installation is trying to get New Yorkers to stop and take a look around.

Grand Central Terminal was transformed on Monday into a unique and expansive art installation, serving as a "sweeping visual love letter to the people of New York," a spokesperson of the exhibit announced.

"Dear New York," created by photographer and author Brandon Stanton, has turned Grand Central's main concourse, Vanderbilt Hall and the Grand Central Subway Station into a reflection of what makes New York City one of the most desirable areas in the world: the people.
