Active weather increases through the week

Another beautiful day is in place across New Mexico. Mass ascension was a go this morning as well out at Balloon Fiesta Park with calm winds and cool to mild temperatures. Sunshine and calm conditions will continue for much of the state for the remainder of the day. A few isolated storms will develop and move through parts of eastern New Mexico. A backdoor cold front will start moving into New Mexico from the northeast overnight tonight, bringing more rain chances back to the northern and eastern parts of the state. Rain chances increase across most of New Mexico on Tuesday and Wednesday as the cold front moves across the state, again bringing cooler temperatures. Mornings still look quiet, though, for Mass Ascension throughout the week.
