ST. LOUIS COUNTY — A south St. Louis County couple died late Sunday night in a murder-suicide, county police said.

Police said a preliminary investigation determined that Larry Ketterling, 77, shot his wife, Nicki Ketterling, also 77, then shot himself.

Police said the incident took place about 11:30 p.m. in a home in the 100 block of Chinon Drive, southeast of Interstate 255 and Telegraph Road in the Mehlville area. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
