LOS ANGELES – Three men were hospitalized for treatment of wounds suffered in a shooting in the Green Meadows area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.

The shooting occurred at 3:09 p.m. Sunday at 88th Street and Central Avenue, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.

The three homeless men, all between the ages of 40 and 60, were standing on the street when two men approached in a vehicle, got out, shot them and fled in the vehicle, he said.

One of the victims was critical when first transported to a hospital by paramedics but all three eventually had stable vital signs, the officer said.
