WALHALLA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Walhalla said another boil water advisory has been issued for customers along Westminster Highway.

A 24-hour boil-water advisory was issued for customers from Mountain Road to Kawana Trail on Monday after a contractor struck a water line.

Residents in the impacted area should boil water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and making ice for 3 full minutes.

A boil-water advisory was issued and then lifted in the same area over the weekend after a contractor first damaged a water line.

Monday’s incident is the second time a water line has been damaged in the last few days.

Crews have already completed repairs to the water line again, but said bacterial contamination is possible due to a loss of water pressure.
