What happened?
Schmaderer said two officers responded to a 911 call after employees reported a man acting erratically and making incoherent statements at the QuikTrip near 120th and Dodge.
When the officers arrived, they found the man outside the business, and they had a conversation with him, which turned into gunfire, Schmaderer said.
