GRAFTON, N.D. (KVRR) — North Dakota BCI is investigating a death at the Walsh County Jail in Grafton, North Dakota.

The sheriff on Sunday had reported an incident at the jail but did not provide any details.

They now say that shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, correctional officers noticed an inmate suffering a medical emergency.

Live-saving measures began on the inmate immediately.

Walsh County Paramedic and Valley Ambulance and Rescue Service were called to the jail to assist.

The sheriff’s office says all attempts to save the man’s life were unsuccessful.

His name will be released once family has been notified.
